As a working student for 3D point cloud processing, you work on our in-house desktop application for processing point clouds. This includes everything from UI work to networking and interesting 3D rendering challenges. The large amount of data processed is handled by a robust, multi-threaded architecture, that you’ll be able to work on and expand upon. Together with our software development team you ensure code quality and excellent user experience and can help drive a transition from CPP to Rust in the code base.
Must-have
- Student in a technical major, e.g. Computer Science
- Experience with modern CPP (17 and upwards) and Qt6 (or 5)
- Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally
- Fluent in English
- Residence in area of Freiburg
Nice-to-have
- Passion for intuitive user interfaces and UIX
- Experience with Rust
- Experience with 3D rendering using OpenGL and / or Vulkan
- Experience in working with git
